If you liked Harrington, you'll love this book too!,
By Poker Pro "Always Learning" (New York) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Poker Tips That Pay: Expert Strategy Guide for Winning No Limit Texas Hold Em (Paperback)
This book features the same simple, ready-to-use advice and detailed hand analysis that made the Harrington on Hold em series an instant classic. Dozens and dozens of real-life hands are broken down and examined from beginning to end. The reader is walked, step-by-step, through the high level poker reasoning process. Conservative and aggressive play, hand reading, bluffing, chip management, tournament strategy, changing gears, and much more are discussed.Unlike most poker books, the vast majority of these hands are taken from low and medium-stakes online tournaments. You won't find moves that will only work at million-dollar games at the Bellagio or $15,000 real life tournaments. This is a book for the poker everyman. The author shows you how to be a consistent, winning poker player. One of the better books on the market. Highly recommended.

This is for advanced players!,

A little bit of life philosophy and a heavy dose of advanced poker strategy define this book. I saw another reviewer describe this as "boring", but that might be because this book doesn't waste time with beginner plays or funny stories. Instead, you get lots of hands and little tips that help you go from a competent to a good poker player. But note: there are many more elementary books out there you can start with. This book isn't Poker 101. It's not arcane, but you should have a solid foundation to get much of what's talked about here. A solid addition to any intermediate poker player's library - who's looking for a little bit more advice. 4 of 5 people found the following review helpful

I've read alot of poker books and have found this one with sound principles and refreshing advance techniques that are easy to follow. The author does a good job at explaining various playing styles in a simple manner. I highly recommend this book to most amateurs players.
