Total rip off, Dec 11 2010

Before you buy it you should know that
you cannot replace the battery in the speed sensor and you will have to pay another $50 to get a new sensor when your battery runs out.
You cannot replace battery in your cadence sensor. You must buy another one for $50.
You must buy USB datalink antenna for $55 that only works with this particular model and nothing else.
If you own a second bike and need another set of sensor and handlebar mount, additional $100+
You cannot synchronize your data with PC because their software is only web based.
The display is not user configurable as POLAR claims, you can only toggle between preprogrammed data-sets
This computer does not do anything better or more than other computers on the market do.
The price of the sensor ought to be $5 or the cost of the new battery.
Instead POLAR tries to rip off their customers for over $50 for each sensor because they designed the sensor
so the customer would not be able to change the battery. WHAT A SCAM!!!!!
You will have to replace the sensors once a year and that will cost you over $100.
Consider this, after five years this computer will cost you more than $800 (EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS!!!!!!!)
If you still think that this is a great product go ahead and buy it.
I just think that POLAR is one more company in which greed took over the reason
and their product is just another RIP OFF
If you want a great computer that is reasonably priced, with more features try to
find TRELOCK 4000i made by German company. Check eBay.

BE AWARE, Aug 8 2011

Contrary to what some item descriptions claim, this is not compatible with a Mac!!!
Even though it has a large screen that could have made more data available, you still have to scroll through screens to get what you're looking for.
It does have some nice features and the screen is very readable, but also be aware of what other reviewers have said about battery changes and having to buy a Datalink usb if you want to transfer data to PC!

First day with it, Aug 10 2010

First day with it. I ride most every day. I'll usually go 20-30 miles with an average speed of 18 + on semi flat routes and needed some help to get better so I decided to get this. I rode with a friend today so I did not go crazy but still had fun with the features. I'm very excited with the online personal trainer software too. Way cool! I'm going alone on my normal ride tomorrow and can't wait to input the results. The USB Data transfer is a must have. Just get it and ride!
