I guess you get what you pay for. I bought this for like 2 bucks. Steal of a deal for a cool design right? But its not.
- The unit comes apart in your hands of bags as its not even glued together its held in place by friction. A baby is less fragile.
- 2 of the ports did not work at all.
- I was getting "this device would work better if it was plugged into a USB 2.0 port" over and over ont he ones that did work.
TL;DR: This unit is TRASH

The USB expansion is unfortunately incompatible with devices that need the power of the connection to run (chargers, external drives), but if you need to hook up a few simple devices, this is the item for that.

Not every device will run on all 4 adapter heads, eg external hard drives.

The smallest USB hub I have been able to find, the chip inside is roughly 2x2 cm, with easy soldering access. Ideal for embedded projects.
