It's a great read! Backs up every claim, giving references so you can challenge them yourself. Helps us sort out some of the messes in the Charismatic/Pentecostal/Third Wave movements, while not abandoning the gifts of the Spirit.Pick up a copy, you won't regret it!

This book is for anyone who has ever been part of the loving, sensitive and emotionally charged atmosphere of the charismatic movement, and who later felt disappointment, bewilderment or even a sense of betrayal.Rob McAlpine writes from personal experience with interesting anecdotes throughout. Careful research from a historical perspective is also evident as Rob traces the roots and growth of the charismatic movement. If you like church history you will find satisfaction here.
