1.0 out of 5 stars one major complaint, July 6 2011
By M. Ranum - Published on Amazon.com
I haven't gotten very far with this book yet. Wanted to drop that disclaimer first, as it may color this review somewhat.

For the record, I'm loving ReSharper. It has saved me a ton of work already, and I've barely scratched the surface. Thus the reason for this book.

My major complaint is the imagery used. The author has modified his VS display settings to use a "high contrast" look, with a black background. I've never understood why people do this, as it DOES NOT make it easier to view. I suspect, it's to look "cool".

The book has a number of screen shots of the authors code from VS. These screen shots all are this awful black background. The fact is it's very difficult to read blue text on a black background. Which the images have a fair amount of. I'll complete the book, and likely delete it from my disk to never view again. This irritates me so much, I'm personally going to give this 1 star. The content may be great, but if it's so hard to read, why bother...

just my 2 cents...
