“I find the layout of the text easy to follow which is helpful to students who are relatively unfamiliar with legal principles and concepts … The case studies and citations are extremely helpful as they illustrate, in realistic terms, the legal concepts that are being discussed.” — Bryan Shapiro, University of British Columbia
“Very clear and engineering-flavoured … I love the book!” — Dr. Michael Bennett, Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science, UOIT
This book provides a broad overview of the laws relevant to the practice of architecture, engineering, and geoscience in Canada. Legal concepts and language are simplified and presented in practical, rather than theoretical, terms to provide professionals and students a sufficient background to identify legal issues. This text is an excellent reference for professionals and an excellent study aid for the Professional Practice Exam.

Good Canadian Laws explanation for not Lawyers,
By
This review is from: Practical Law of Architecture, Engineering, and Geoscience, Second Canadian Edition with Companion Website (Hardcover)
My point of view is from a foreing professional, who does not know about some legal concepts in Canada. This book explains easy and direct which are the most important concepts in different rules and laws. Also, the reviews at the end of every chapter are good for chatching points that could be lost for the law complexity.

Should be called "Practical Blah",
This review is from: Practical Law of Architecture, Engineering, and Geoscience, Second Canadian Edition with Companion Website (Hardcover)
I'm reading this book in preparation for my P. Eng exam. This book has literally put me to sleep a few times.I hope this review is read by the people who create the professional engineer exams to pick another suggested book. 80%-85% of this book deals with construction engineering, which I really don't care about.
