From Booklist
There is valuable information here on vitamin and mineral intake, physical symptoms, and psychological concerns during the three trimesters, preconception, and postpartum; and the sample menus are an asset (though too few are included). In addition to the more than 125 recipes, the authors provide different ways of looking at foodstuffs, from a cantaloupe-banana shake to soothe upset first-trimester stomachs to a paella with salt cod, which satisfies end-of-term sodium cravings. The absence of nutritional analyses will be noted.

I wish I had had access to such a complete guide when I was a busy young pregnant doctor. --
