This mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter lets you connect a high definition monitor, projector, or LCD that uses a DVI connector or cable to a MacBook, MacBook Pro, or MacBook Air with a mini DisplayPort.

I tried to save a few buck with these off- brand adaptors.... not one single one of the cheapo adaptors works consistently. They are unreliable at best... if you accidentally tap your computer or remove your headphones, the monitor goes blank. After switching to the real apple adaptors I have ZERO connection problems.

Very unreliable product. I should have stuck with the original Apple brand adapter. It worked for the first two or three days I had it and hasn't worked since.

It worked three days. It took me some time and money to figure out that this adapter was the problem. If you intend to use it frequently, I suggest to get the original ones.
