I've bought several yoga dvd's over time. I find as accessible as they claim to be, they aren't. This one is. If you're familiar with Yin Yoga you know that it's a combination of meditation, breathing and deep stretches, creating balance. This dvd is well instructed with variations for different abilities, if needed. It's done in real time so you are given enough time (and instruction) to get into the poses, you hold for several minutes then Kim "walks" you back out of them.
There is a full practice or a shorter daily practice. You can also pick individual poses as you like.
It's filmed in a beautiful serene garden which is really kind of unnecessary since you'll find yourself doing most of the practice with your eyes closed. The only slight disappointment is the music. It's okay, but rather generic and nondescript.
I would definitely recommend this dvd for beginners of yoga. I think it will give a feeling of accomplishment that will encourage you to continue your practice, unlike many other exercise dvd's that end up just taking up space on your shelf.
