There are many "how to dress" books on the market but perhaps not enough geared to the plus size woman. I picked this up with curiosity, wondering if there was anything new under the sun from author Babe Hope. While there are some practical tips scattered throughout the book, this style guide boasts 247 pages of text and only 12 pages of black-white sketches. It would be more inspiring if there were colour photos rather than the somewhat lacklustre figures used to illustrate various body types. All the same, any book that offers empowering fashion advice to women who need a guiding hand is to be recommended. At the budget friendly price of $14.95, this might be a useful companion to a more colourful style guide.

Fabulous book!!Thankfully an author with knowledge AND understanding of the plus size woman who is willing to share it, no judgments, just good sound advice for looking great every time you dress. The guidance Babe Hope offers is invaluable. By referring to the Plus Size woman as a "Diamond", made me feel beautiful throughout my reading & prevented me from demoralizing judgments I make regarding myself.

I have probably purchased every book of this ilk that is on the market. Surprisingly, this turned out to be one of my favorites! The author has the honest "voice" of a long time close friend, which made the book a very pleasant and enjoyable read. I found every chapter to offer me sound, easy-to-follow advice. My only regret was that it didn't provide more illustrations of her suggestions.
