I purchased this book after buying another for cheaper and was very disapointed with the content, no pictures at all except for a few pages in the middle and way too long to read for a 4 year old... not her idea of a great book! This one is ABSOLUTLY BEAUTIFUL! The pictures are so colorful, a kid could read the story with only looking at the pages! Unlike the other book, i do not regret this purchase one bit! And delivery was quick and quite easy, arrived in 5 days! Great great buy!

Ahh, the Little Golden Books. I haven't gotten one yet that I, (or my kids), haven't been completely thrilled with.
The Princess and the Frog is no exception.
Great price, great illustrations, great story from the movie without it being too short or too long.
My 6 year old daughter loves it, and so do I.

No, the illustrations are not captures from the film. They are still great illustrations - very well done and the style is fitting with the time period in which the story is set. More importantly, the story from the film is still there. It is well-told and appropriate for younger children who may not be old enough to watch movie yet. For example, the bad guy is referred to as a "bad magic man" and all the ghoulish stuff is left out.

We have a lot of Disney little golden books, this one is the best! It really summarizes the story well and highlights key words, great for an early reader of 4 years old. The illustrations are good too.
