5.0 out of 5 stars no problem playing Nov. 28 2013

I purchased this dvd and (unlike the previous reviewer) had no problem playing it on my Toshiba DVD player. I haven't finished watching it yet, but so far I have enjoyed it. I purchased it because I am a fan of Homeland and I wanted to see how the original Isreali series compared. It is, of course, a very different perspective and style and the Isreali series pursues themes and character development that are quite distinct from the American series and therefore worth viewing. Based on what I have seen up to this point (I'm half way through) I give it 5 stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars Prisoners of War is state of the art March 18 2014
Verified Purchase
Prisoners of War is brilliant. In respect to the characters, the culture in which they live, the script and the plot, the series is utterly riveting. Those who loved Homeland, will be utterly blown away by Prisoners of War, because of its psychological depth among other things. And the plot is full of such imaginative twists.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Series March 4 2014

This is what a series should be. very realistic.
Complex character development and a riveting plot. It makes Homeland seem like shlock.
Some of the time it makes for uncomfortable watching, but it is not really gloomy. The subtitles are well done and not at all intrusive.
Just excellent.
