After the line-up configuration, they released this PRIVATE AUDITION in the spring of 1982. Everyone says that this album was a disappointment. It did go way downhill, but everyone judged this album without even listening to it with an open mind and heart. This album isn't all that bad. It is not like DREAMBOAT ANNIE (1976) or BEBE LE STRANGE (1980), that's why I gave only 4 stars, but it's still a great album.
Howard Leese's guitar and keyboard playing on this one left me speechless. I never heard him play like this. Very powerful.
BRIGHT LIGHT GIRL
You all already know how much I love ballads, especially power ballads. That's exactly what this track is, a power ballad. I love it.
This one isn't too bad. It could have been better, but it's okay.
THIS MAN IS MINE
HEY DARLIN' DARLIN'
I wonder if they based this one on FAST TIMES AT RIDGEMONT HIGH.
Everytime I listen to this one, I remember what it's really about. Ever since 9/11, I've been thinking about how close this country has gotten. And that's how we should all be.
Don't listen to what some people may tell you. This album did go downhill when it was released in 1982, but that was back then. Buy this album and you'll be impressed.
