Prior to joining BBN, Dana was chief scientist forRoku Technologies, and a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff atBell Laboratories. Dana is a popular conference speaker, auniversity lecturer, and has published both articles for numerouscomputing publications, and books, including Peer-to-Peer:Building Secure, Scalable, and Manageable Networks andJabber Developer Handbook. Dana holds a master of sciencedegree in technology management from the University of Maryland,and a bachelor of science in industrial design, also from theUniversity of Maryland.

Raymond Budd is a software engineer with BBNTechnologies. He has designed, developed, and supported a varietyof Web applications and other distributed systems in Java, Ruby,and Python. He has been published in several conferenceproceedings, such as the Eighteenth National Conference onArtificial Intelligence, and journals, including AppliedIntelligence. Additional areas of interest include knowledgerepresentations, knowledge engineering, and distributed planningand scheduling. He received a bachelor of science degree incomputer science from the University of Pittsburgh.

Edward (Ted) Benson is a software engineer with BBNTechnologies. His experience and interests include distributedprogramming frameworks, multi-agent systems, Web development, andknowledge representation. Ted has developed Web applications forseveral community groups and companies, and he has been publishedin IEEE conference proceedings on the subjects of distributed andmulti-agent systems. He gradated summa cum laude from theUniversity of Virginia with a bachelor of science degree incomputer science.
