This arrived with a big chunk broken off the plastic plate. Amazon agreed to give me a credit as the rest was OK. Had I known how useless it was to pop in the microwave, I would have returned it. It left so many unpopped kernels and many of those which were popped were burnt to a crisp. Alas!

Sorry to be negative on this cute item. The heat for popping comes from a hard plastic base that sits loosely in the bottom of the popper. This base stays very hot and you can't pour the popcorn out without having the base clunk out along with it - dangerous. If you try to remove the heated base from under the popcorn you spill the corn and risk burning your fingers. I had poor results with the popping itself, 4-5 minutes on High produced about a third of the kernels popped. Back to plain paper bags!

Made popcorn once, did not pop more than about 2/3 of kernals, popcorn was burned, could not eat it. Also the plastic bubbled.

This Microwave popcorn popper is quite good at making popcorn. It popped almost every kernel and did a great job at it. It pops quite fast and at a good pace.

The reason why I did not give it a 5 is that the quality could be better. The plastic is quite thin and flimsy. I have had it for a week and so far nothing has broken on it. They just do not make things like they used too.

I would recommend this product to a friend or family member.

The tenderest popcorn ever and with no oil Feb. 4 2006
By Apple Girl - Published on Amazon.com
I bought this on a whim, not expecting much. This MiracleWear popcorn maker makes the tenderest, crispest popcorn of any I have ever had including premium microwave popcorn or movie theater popcorn, and with no oil. After popping, use the spray "I can't believe it's not butter" to hold salt for a high-fiber, low fat snack. Plus, you can use inexpensive bag popcorn. You save calories and save money. Well worth it.

melted popper Jan. 10 2009
By Popcorn lover - Published on Amazon.com
The popper worked OK until I made two batches in a row.
The container melted onto the glass plate in my microwave.
Obviously, I do not plan to buy this unit again.

very disappointing March 28 2008

This was a big disappointment :( My constantly used ten year-old Nordic Ware microwave popper was looking pretty shabby, so I thought that I would try one of these... The Miracleware looks nicer but it is extremely fragile plastic and has a third piece of plastic that sits in the bottom. It loads with the same amount of raw popcorn as the Nordick Ware, but makes HALF the volume of the same brand of popcorn... some burned, many unpopped... I don't have the patience to experiment to find a complicated microwave settings to make decent popcorn...

I'm going to use Miracleware bowl for dry catfood... and am ordering a new NORDIC WARE popper for popcorn! (Much fluffier popcorn and a MUCH sturdier product... my old Nordic Ware one still makes perfect fluffy popcorn... it's just very dirty looking after ten years of constant use)

A dud Oct. 30 2007
By SST - Published on Amazon.com
I bought this recently with the hopes of eating popcorn in a healthy manner. It leaves several kernels unpopped and if your microwave does not rotate then the popcorn burns in certain places. The popcorn also comes out a little moist and chewy.

Miracleware Popcorn Popper (Purchased on 10/26/2006) Jan. 9 2007

The product was delivered per the terms promised. It works.

My only problem is that it did not come with directions - how much popcorn to use, how long to set the timer on the microwave. My issue is probably with the manufacturer, not the store that sold it.
