William G. Ramroth, Jr., AIA, is a practicing architect with over thirty years experience in architectural design and project management. He has served as the project manager for numerous building design projects ranging in size from small remodeling projects to multi-disciplinary design programs of over one hundred million dollars in construction costs. Mr. Ramroth is a member of the American Institute of Architects.

The title is a bit harsh, but the first 80 pages of the book are mainly common sense and very repetitive and the last 50 or more pages are highly repetitive of previous content as well. I do appreciate, though, that it is a book for design professionals as most PM books are about computer stuff. The substantive chapters could have been fleshed out further with practical examples (as opposed to anecdotal).

Not what I expected. Was not even sure what to expect from a book like this... yes, I know managers have to know everything and be a super intelligent people. I am not super intelligent but still manage my company just fine. Thanks for letting me know. :)

Who would have thought that learning about project management could be so entertaining? Ramroth has included numerous examples, illustrations and commentary to propel readers through what would normally be a rather bland subject. I laughed out loud while reading and surprised not only myself, but also my napping children!
