5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent text Jan 22 2006
Format:Paperback
This text is composed of chapters authored by credible experts in each subspecialty area of psychiatry. It targets students in psychiatry but is a useful review for psychiatrists and clinicians from other disciplines as well. The manner in which the chapters are organized make it an easy but comprehensive text to use.

Its an excellent book I came across quite late in my psychiatry career. Although primarily intended for the beginners its worth its salt to anyone working or interested in behavioural sciences and psychiatry. Very innovative yet quite practical.
Highly recommended.
5.0 out of 5 stars highly recommended Mar 21 2009
By M. Vukovic - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
This is a very useful book, it is very well written, easy to understand, has a practical, yet comprehensive approach. I love this book and think that it's very useful throughout the psychiatry training, but it would be of great help in the first two years when you are still getting familiar with the concepts, diagnostic and management issues and the whole process of organizing yourself and your understanding of the subject. I believe that reading this book early in your training can increase your confidence much quicker and help you not only with the diagnostic and management issues, but also improve your clarity and ability to present and back up your opinion better.
I found this book actually enjoyable, perhaps because of the way it's written, reasonably large print, good layout, clear differentiation and attention to the common dilemmas and issues encountered in your everyday practice and exam preparation.
