5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Textbook March 21 2009
By R. Folger - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I have found this textbook very easy to read. The psych care plan book that goes along with this textbook was also great in helping me to create some nursing care plans. I recommend both of them.
3.0 out of 5 stars Ok. May 25 2014
By Lucky - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This text isn't my favorite because it takes all similar disorders and put interventions all together. It's difficult alittle to know what intervention applies to what. I like my information organized in a particular way. In stead I used the Saunders nclex review book, which has a psych section, and I understand the information so much better! It breaks it down by each disorder to the interventions for that disorder. This book was ok, but not organized in the best way that I would like it to be.
4.0 out of 5 stars Simple for me, but interesting. May 13 2014
By Marika O'Baire-Kark - Published on Amazon.com

As a professional psychiatric mental health nurse, it is essential to stay on top of changes in the profession as well as finally much clearer and more interesting interpretations of the historical research our professional ancestors gave to us! If you are interested in this and writing chapters in the future, this is a good place to start. We need a chapter on Disaster Mental Health for nurses, a new and burgeoning field much needed.

Used in a ADN program. Recommended for all nursing students. I plan on keeping this book as a reference text for the future.
