PTERODACTYL WOMAN FROM BEVERLY HILLS is a charming, campy gem from director Phillipe Mora and starring the wonderful Beverly D'Angelo.
Pixie Chandler (Beverly D'Angelo - NATIONAL LAMPOON'S VACATION, MAID TO ORDER) is the perfect Beverly Hills housewife, with the perfect husband, perfect children, perfect friends and perfect house...not to mention perfect sex life.
When her archaeologist husband accidentally comes under the wrath of eccentric witchdoctor Salvadore Dali (Brion James), the witchdoctor puts "the curse of the pterodactyl" on Pixie, transforming her into a grasping, over-sexed pterodactyl!
The search is on to find a cure....before Pixie starts giving birth...to an egg!!
Totally campy, probably D'Angelo's crowning moment comes in the scene where she struts in a Norma Desmond-esque feathered turban to the wonderful song "Blue Martini" (which, incidentally, was written by D'Angelo herself).
Great, if a little off-the-wall.
