Product Description

From Amazon.com

For a meat 'n' potatoes country singer like Toby Keith, he does a pretty good job of showing a sensitive side, though his ballad baritone goes slightly shaky when left out too long. Even so, with a basic mixture of beery braggadocio and tender sentiment Keith (who cowrites most of his material) seems to have hit his stride and has found a formula that commercial country has finally embraced. On this follow-up to his 1999 How Do You Like Me Now, production values remain slick, considering how much testosterone is involved, but there's still room for this Oklahoma boy to strut while a handful of heavy metal arpeggios punctuate the proceedings. --Henry Cabot Beck

5.0 out of 5 stars Toby strikes gold again!, Jan 10 2004

Toby Keith, one of country music's leading men, scores another hit album. This collection of 13 thrilling songs continally keeps Toby at the top of his game. From soultry country love songs to up-tempo dance numbers, he strikes the perfect chord. "I'm Just Talkin' About Tonight" starts the c.d. off, projecting Toby's humorous perspective on love. The title track lets you in on the give-and-take qualities of engagement and marriage. To mix the album up a bit, Toby adds several heart-clenching ballads, such as "You Didn't Have As Much To Lose" and "Yesterday's Rain". A bonus track is added, paying homage to the rodeo world. His baritone vocals, sweet guitar srumming, and throw-caution-to-the-wind attitude make this singer a legend. This album is certainly a must-have for all the Toby Keith fans out there.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pull My Chain - Toby Keith, Dec 31 2003

His CD is one of the funnest CD's I have ever purchased. Almost every lryic seems to have two meanings. It is clever, quick and great to listen to.

Not to mention, that country voice that Toby Keith has makes every song somethin' we can listen to for ours. Spice your chili.

A++++

5.0 out of 5 stars A must-have for TK fans, Oct 4 2003

If you like Toby, this is a disc you have to get. It's full of the typical Toby attitude, but balanced out by some gentler songs like "You Leave Me Weak". Toby is known for his rowdy, controversial songs, but he's also got quite a few nice ballads. My personal favorite is "Yesterday's Rain", a sweetly melodic tune about being unable to get over a lost love. The title tune is an anthem to the ability of women to turn bad dogs into good boys.
