Incredible movie, best Punisher yet!, April 15 2009
I was not expecting much, because were I live the movie did not appear in much theatres, so I expected action but no script, but I was very surprised when I saw the movie with my friends, it much more accurate to the comic character than the 2004 version, and a lot more violent (no mercy) and on top of that there is a seen when he take care of the rooftop gang that is unbelievable! A must for Punisher fans and people that loves action with a crunch!

the best punisher movie yet, July 29 2010
this is for me,hands down, the best Punisher movie hands down.i liked the story and there's plenty of action.also, there's no lame dialogue in this version.in fact the dialogue is kept to a minimum.but that works here.Ray Stevenson makes for A good Punisher.he seems very natural in the role. and delivers the lines he does have well.a word of warning though, this incarnation of the Punisher franchise is ultra violent and very graphic compared to the two previous Punisher movies.i was actually very surprised to find that this movie made almost no money at the box office.i guess maybe it was due to the fact that there weren't a gajillion explosions.anyway, for me Punisher:War Zone is a 4/5

Captures the Pre-MAX Garth Ennis Punisher, Jan 25 2010
Brutally overlooked in the theatres this movie provides a solid action shooter that is short on real world logic but long on comic book stylization. Closer to Sin City or Batman Returns, Punisher War Zone eschews the "let's try and make the blatantly impossible seem real" of the recent Batman movies and instead embraces certain aspects of a comic book universe. The violence is over the top but still with a very heavy, visceral, meaty feel to it that many other action movies are lacking. It also has a sense of humour, with several moments illiciting great crowd reaction from everyone I've seen the movie with Can't recommend it enough, Ray Stevenson is a big dude and they put him through the ringer to teach him how to move like a well trained killing machine so that this movie more so than previous Punisher movies has a much more grounded and realistic focus on tactical gunfighting elements while allowing the absurdity of the other comic book elements to enhance the experience
