2.0 out of 5 stars Push to another social jobsearch title July 4 2012
By bookfan - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
To begin with, this ebook contained 3 missing sections. I downloaded it to my Amazon Prime cloud library, and read it on my laptop. While it was adequately written in terms of grammar, style, tone and spelling, the subject matter and key topics were somewhat dated and non-specific.

It reads like a primer/prelude to sell his other title, which I did not download. In any event, the tips were too vague to be valuable. You can get better advice and more specific social jobseeking tips on the Web. Advice: skip this ebook altogether.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wish I read this book in college June 20 2011
By Paul - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
Overworked. Underpaid. These two words sum up my career over the past 4 years. Like many other college graduates my age, I basically took the first job I was offered right after graduation. As a result I sort of fell into an industry that was not what I expecting, doing work I'm not entirely enthusiastic about. And I've always wondered if I could have done better...

"Push" is the book that I wish I had read 5 years earlier in college. From defining career goals to crafting a resume to expanding your network to nailing the interview. This book breaks down all of the essential steps of job hunting in a clear, step-by-step approach.

I particularly like the author's specific tips to building a business network to land an interview. That chapter made me realize that I haven't been doing nearly enough expand my own network to attract new opportunities.

I'm using these tips in my current job search, and I would recommend this book to any friends looking to upgrade their careers.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good Information May 19 2012
By J. L. Marra - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The book had a lot of good information, some of which I've seen in other books, articles, and online. The book had some grammatical errors and it also did not format well to my Kindle Touch. I was able to get the book while it was free, so no big deal.

5.0 out of 5 stars Motivational and Inspiring June 12 2011
By T. Blosser - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
Nelson's writing style keeps you engaged from the first page to the last. He puts into writing the thoughts you've had all along, but have been too busy to sit down and actually pay attention to. Simple things like "what's my brand" or "what do I want to achieve from a career"? Many of us have been on autopilot with our jobs - just going paycheck to paycheck or company to company - PUSH encourages you to actually stop and think about what should be the next logical career move and how to land a job in that move. In times like these, his book is a must-read for all people looking for a change in their careers.
