Not a bad guitar for a beginner. For the price I think it's better than most cheap guitars and the Amp that it comes with actually works well. If your looking for a low priced alternative to the EPI LP then give this guitar a try. If you are looking for some sort of replica guitar then look else wear.

for the price You pay you get an awesome guitar plus the amp it comes with is also pretty good. all in all a good buy

I want to say first that I love the look of this guitar. I love the Les Paul standard styling. It does not come with a pick guard like the picture shows. This may be standard practice for guitars. I'm not sure why they show them with a pick guard. I have yet to get the sound completely figured out though. I've had it for almost two weeks now. I've just spent more time learning to play than trying to get the sound tweaked right. I'm new to guitar, so I probably just need to bite the bullet and take it in for a setup. I've viewed videos on the net to try to figure out little tweaks I can make, but I can't get rid of a buzz on the low E string only around the 3rd and 4th frets. I let my neighbor look at it who builds, refurbishes and sells acoustic guitars (not really experienced with electrics though). He adjusted the truss rod because I was a little afraid to touch that. It still wasn't 100% though. I took it in to Guitar Center and a guy took it for a few minutes and came back and said he moved the saddle up and thought it was better. It was, but still not perfect. He admitted he was probably not the best guy to look at it. They were rather busy though. At least he didn't charge me anything. The switch for the pickups is not what I would call rock solid either (not solidly set in it's place). The amp seems pretty nice, but I don't know much about those. If you think this is going to sound as nice as an epiphone or gibson les paul, you will probably be disappointed. I just wish I could get rid of that buzz. I'm going to put some new Ernie Ball strings on it here soon and maybe that will help some. I wanted to put this out here so there would at least be some review for this guitar. I wish there had been some I could look at for this guitar when I was looking for a starter. This seems like a pretty good value for the starter trying to learn. I didn't expect it to be perfect for this price, so 4 stars.
