Charming, Witty and Wonderful!!!,

What an amazingly entertaining, warm and witty series! You get to experience the love, friendship, difficult times and family lives of several Gay, Lesbian and Straight adults who live in Pittsburgh (though filmed in Toronto) through this amazing and convincing group of very talented actors/actresses. A MUST SEE for all: Gays and Straights... as this series brillantly shows that the differences in the ways Gays / Straights live their life, is no different; human beings living their (young) adult life to the fullest!ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!

Find the UK original,

Though the US series isn't bad, if you have the unbelievable luck of getting your hands on the original UK QUEER AS FOLK, you'll see how much stronger television the UK show was. Just one series (six episodes) plus one special episode, with brilliant dialogue, amazing directing and fantastic acting (I dare anyone not to find Aiden Gillen anything short of extraordinary as man-eater Stuart Allen Jones, the UK version's Brian). Deeper, funnier, more ambiguous, more complex, far less melodramatic and self-righteous, and yet much more gleefully over-the-top in some ways, this QUEER AS FOLK pushes the boundaries in ways the American version could only dream of. The show was created by writer Russell T. Davies, who would go on to revive DOCTOR WHO with glorious results.
