1.0 out of 5 stars TOO BRIGHT Dec 6 2013

This this is SOOOO BRIGHT! It's a terrible alarm clock. It's like sleeping next to a bright blue sun. Don't buy it unless you also want it to function as a night light.

2.0 out of 5 stars Could be good, but poor quality control Sept. 3 2013

I bought this alarm clock because it seemed like it had all the feature I wanted: Radio, USB port, battery backup, and blue numbers were a superficial bonus. The price was fair enough.

Unfortunately, the quality control on this product is terrible. The first one I ordered, the USB port did not work. I requested an exchange, and on the new one, the battery backup does not work. Despite putting batteries in the clock, the time and everything resets when unplugged. At least I have the USB charger which is more important to me.

I'm not going to return it because it's not worth the hassle to me, but if I were you, I'd choose a different clock. Two is a small sample size, but I'm not impressed that both units had a different defect. Sound is also not all that great from the radio, and the antenna is pretty weak.
2.0 out of 5 stars OK March 3 2014

I got this model because it was supposedly the newer version of my last clock. The display is nice but setting it and turning off the alarm are a pain. They took a simple clock and made it more complicated. I'll stick to my phone alarm instead.
3.0 out of 5 stars Pretty disappointed Feb. 21 2014

The biggest thing is the sound quality -- not good. The radio is smaller than I expected it to be, meaning the speaker is as well. It's pretty tiny and it basically sounds like one of those old small portable radios. The controls are far from intuitive -- I challenge anyone to operate the radio without reading the instructions. However, once you've got the button use down that's OK. I don't like that it runs off of a transformer that plugs into the wall, as opposed to just having a regular power cord. It also has a wire hanging off of the back for the FM antenna, which is pretty annoying. For what it is it's OK, but if I'd have seen it in person first I never would have bought it.
2.0 out of 5 stars Just don't like it Feb. 6 2014

I do not like this clock radio. The numbers are way too bright with no dimmer switch. The volume buttons are very hard to find if you are confused after getting jolted out of a deep sleep by the music blasting if the volume is turned up too high. But my biggest peeve about this device is the location of the time set buttons. When you are looking at a digital clock, the hour is on the left and the minutes are on the right. You would think that the button for each would be on the side that the corresponding number is on. WRONG!!!! They have the button to set minutes over top of the hour and the button to set the hour over top of the minutes. The only thing likeable about this device is the USB charge port.
