This review is from: RETURN OF THE REVOLUTIONARIES: THE CASE FOR REINCARNATION AND SOUL GROUPS REUNITED (Paperback)
....dont waste your time and money reading this book.
Science of reincarnation? What science? The only science in this book is on the same intellectual level as "guess the weight and age" at the carnival... maybe not even as good... its all based on gigo (garbage in, garbage out) and the supposed correspondence between the features and character of the American revolutionary and his/her current 'version'... what a load of manure! The combinations arent even any good... how can an MD, with an active imagination be the reincarnation of John Adams, lawyer and rationalist.... The author of this book knows nothing about the historical figures he purports to find reincarnated, mostly among a motely group of psychics and metaphysicians, etc.... as if Adams, Rittenhouse, Franklin, etc would even believe in this nonsense and come back as two bit circus acts in the future.
What the author needs to do is read a good book actually by these figures, instead of someone discussion of them somewhere else (and which I freely admit I am afraid to imagine), or reputable book about, say, Adams, like David McCullough's biography.... then he can tell me about his link....
Finally, a question that was first posed by Crash Davis in the movie Bull Durham.... why is it everyone was someone famous in their past lives... why wasnt anyone Joe Schmo?

Return of the Revolutionaries, Aug 2 2003
This review is from: RETURN OF THE REVOLUTIONARIES: THE CASE FOR REINCARNATION AND SOUL GROUPS REUNITED (Paperback)
Return of the Revolutionaries is a look into reincarnation. If everyone knew that they were here before and would return again then maybe everyone would be kinder, more compassionate, and much less violent towards each other. Dr. Semkiw then uses physical appearance (along with other comparisons) to match American revolutionaries to present day people. Some of these people are famous today. Others are not. I found the reincarnations fascinating and believable, and feel this book is an eye-opener to say the least.

A Compelling Read, July 14 2003

This review is from: RETURN OF THE REVOLUTIONARIES: THE CASE FOR REINCARNATION AND SOUL GROUPS REUNITED (Paperback)
The most interesting book I've read this year! The photos speak for themselves, but add the author's narratives about the continuity of interests, symbols, and even writing styles among some of the cases and it's a book you can't put down. The cases featuring Shirley MacLaine, Ralph Nader, and Marianne Williamson are particularly fascinating.
For anyone interested in eliminating the violence that is fueled by differences in religion and race, read this book.
