Those of you that aren't familiar with Georgie Fear's recipes will be SO happy you picked up this book. Not only are her recipes healthy and tasty, they are also incredibly easy. I love to cook but as an endurance athlete who trains about 80% of the year, there are days when I don't feel like doing much. This book caters to athletes (and non athletes) of all cooking levels. The book is broken out into 3 sections. One for the non cooking athlete, one for the athlete with some cooking skills and one for the athlete that likes to cook. Even the more "advanced" recipes in this book are very quick and easy to prepare. This has become my go to cookbook. I also highly recommend you get your hands on Georgie's other book Fuel Up, also available on Amazon.

When I started running 6 years ago, I swore I'd never run anything longer than 10kms; well, after 4 marathons and many half-marathons, I found myself gaining weight and out of energy despite successful races. The Racing Weight book explained what I was doing incorrectly and fuelling my body sub-optimally was one of them. I thought I ate well; I can cook, I know about food. But I didn't know about fuelling for endurance running. The Racing Weight cookbook is how I got myself back on track. The recipes are so easy, they are fabulous and even my family enjoys them. Favourite recipes so far are the Banana Pecan Pancakes made with oats, the Lean Turkey Burgers and the Flaxseed & Herb-crusted chicken. Definitely a must-have cookbook, even if you don't run marathons and just want to focus on healthy, fresh, flavourful food.

I have tried many of these recipes and I have to say that the pictures don't do it justice! They are so delicious and unbelievably easy to make. It's so nice to have a cookbook this easy and delicious out there to help people eat properly while training.

I found a lot of nutritional information
That I wasn't aware of.
It's nice to have food devided into post and pre workout categories.
It did find it a little vegetarian orientated.
But that being said.
It's a great book for the price.

Awesome cookbook, have tried 10 recipes so far and all have been a hit.

I am a vegetarian and the rest of the family eats meat occasionally. It has the perfect combination of recipes.

So far ingredients have been easy to find locally and recipes have been easy to prepare.

Highly recommended.

This is a great recipe book if you are training for a run or just wanting to eat well to live healthy. I liked most of the recipes that I tried from this book and those I didn't like as much are easy enough to modify more to my taste. I recommend this book.
