This book will blow you away!, July 14 2004
Reviewer: Cat from UK
Steve Gerlach is a very talented writer. He gets your mind working overtime and makes you feel the RAGE of Ben, this books main character.
Ben is like you and me except for the fact he can't seem to handle the things that life throws at him - good or bad.
Ben shows us what goes through the mind of a sad, lonely, and desperate person, living for nothing. At any point he could snap and things could go bad - real bad.
This book will shock, scare, amaze, worry and very likey at parts disturb you, but it's definatley worth reading, I'd recommend it to everyone.
I'm not going to say anymore and spoil the book as the reader needs to feel the shock I did.
RAGE is the first book I have read by Steve Gerlach but I can safely say that it won't be the last!

A Fantastic Debut Limited Edition Novel, Jun 28 2004
This review is from: Rage (Hardcover)
This book builds to a crescendo of "Rage" resulting in a novel that shows how a person can explode if they are driven far enough. A great debut novel that "Richard Laymon" would be proud of. This cannot be rated highly enough! A++++

Keep your eyes on Gerlach, Jun 22 2004
By A Customer
Having been a fan of the late Richard Laymon, trying a novel from the guy who kept the Richard Laymon website running was a must. And the book proved to be every bit as good as Laymon at his best.
People were gorssed by the book (yes, it was explicit and disgusting in points), but they MUST have also been in awe. The main character is a turd, undoubtedly. But as you read RAGE, you can feel sorry for him (but never sorry enough for the climax!) Great characterisation, and a very enjoybale read. Get it, read it, love it!
