I have to say this is a very good compilation. I saw the movie and liked it a whole lot but that wasn't so much what attracted me to this cd, it was the songs by themselves. The mix of songs is quite balanced and it's music that just makes you feel really good. It's got a little bit of something for everyone, new stuff, oldies, sweet songs, something a bit groovier, you name it...
It lacks a few more big, outstanding songs but they're all good. I guess the best tracks were, for me, "Extraordinary" by Liz Phair, "Sweetest Pain" by Haylie Duff, "Thinking Over" by Dana Glover and of course, "Whip It" by Devo, which is such an integral part of the movie. And oh yeah, Simon and Garfunkel's "At The Zoo" is one of those songs you actually enjoy getting stuck in your head all day.
A perfect cd to listen to in your car, it'll make your trips less hectic, get you singing along and continue smiling long after you've reached your destinations. Wherever you choose to listen to it, I have to tell you, it's just really good. :)
