Long Range 2.4 Ghz Wireless Keyboard With Ergonomic 5 Button Mouse

Ipurchased this keyboard/mouse combo last month, since the design and function of the combo is exactly what I want.
I found out, however, there is a major problem. The keyboard has a Sleep feature (a good thing) whereby it shuts down after 8 minutes of unuse in order to save the battery. However, it doesn't always recover from the Sleep (a bad thing). The "repair" is to remove/replace the battery when this happens. Since it happens for me several times/day, I don't want to live with that nuisance. In correspondence with the manufacturer, there is an issue with the keyboard, and the only solution right now is battery removal/replacement.
I originally thought I just had a lemon keyboard, and ordered a replacement from Amazon. However, the replacement has the same problem, so I have to ship both keyboards and mice back to Amazon. Bummer.

I originally thought this was going to be a piece of junk because it was the most competitively priced mouse/keyboard combo that included a mouse with side buttons. Side buttons which I have grown to need for my web browsing.

I am pleasantly surprised to say that this is my personal favorite keyboard of all time thus far. The keys don't have sharp edges, are quiet and responsive, but also have a sort of "expensive" feel when you press them. Cushioned and springy is the best way I can think of to describe it off the top of my head. The return key is slightly oddly positioned and results in lots of \ instead of return. It takes one AAA battery (included) and, of course, has two flip out pieces on the bottom to angle the keyboard up.

The mouse has a few extras like its built in dpi adjustment and two side buttons used mainly for forward and back during web browsing. Underneath the mouse is an on/off switch, a spot for storing the USB adapter and the door for the two AA batteries (also included). No complaints about the mouse here. It's full size, has all the buttons I wanted (and then some), and doesn't feel like it will be falling apart anytime soon.

Overall, I gave the thing a 5/5 because it was inexpensive, convenient, comfortable to use and had everything I was looking for. Only time will tell if it stands the test of... ah... time, I guess.

It works just fine for what we want. We control the computer that we watch most streaming content on from across the room. We specifically wanted more range and it works flawlessly.
