Book Description

March 8 2012
More and more people are turning to raw food to give them energy, boost their immune system, clear their skin, lose weight and stay slim. There are so many dishes and ways of working with raw food to create an interesting, sustainable diet, without needing very many hard-to-find ingredients or hours of preparation. This friendly cookbook is the perfect guide to introducing raw food into your life and understanding how certain ingredients, and their  preparation, can be not only delicious and appealing, but also hugely beneficial to your health. With chapters on Smoothies, Breakfast, Soups, Salads, Entrées, Snacks and Desserts, there’s something here for every day, occasion and appetite. Try a chilled Gazpacho soup, made with the best, ripest tomatoes; pretty Fennel & Zucchini Carpaccio marinated in a simple mustard and vinegar dressing; Sweet Cherry Temptations made with ground hazelnuts and dried cherries and ideal for snacking on; and fantastic bite-size Brownie Squares with Cashew Frosting.

You’ll be amazed at how much you can achieve within the principles of raw food, and how much better you’ll feel—even if you only practice it from time to time in among your

regular everyday diet.

5.0 out of 5 stars Delicious Oct. 22 2012
By B. K. - Published on Amazon.com
When I first found out about this book, I could not wait to get it and try out recipes. It is even more than I have hoped for. It is not only for people who are into macrobiotics or raw foods, but also for anyone who wants to eat 'live' and healthy food without compromising on flavour (or amount). Recipes are easy to follow and dishes easy to make...and taste absolutely divine! The book is in many ways educational as well. It is about learning, for some of us, a new style of preparing food, eating, living and looking after our (long-suffering) bodies. Thanks, Dunja, for that!

2.0 out of 5 stars This book is not for beginners. June 20 2012

The directions and layout are very difficult to follow and though the ingredients sound wonderful, you will be hard pressed to find them all in one (or two) stores.

I'll try a few more...but so far everything I've made had been disgusting. I've never seen my husband not like a dish, and he almost spit out the anchovie zucchini pasta dish and couldn't eat a second bite.
