A riveting new novel of legal suspense from lawyer turned New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author DIANE CAPRI

Young attorney Jenny Lane's life is going great. Too great. She gets the biggest case of her career and meets the man of her dreams. But the client and the man are both too good to be true.

"Intricate and ingenious." — Lee Child , #1 World Wide Bestselling Author of Jack Reacher Thrillers

Three unlikely events explode thrusting young lawyer Jennifer Lane into a roller coaster ride filled with breathtaking success and deep secrets she'd rather not know.

Bio-Medical researcher Gilbert Irwin is killed when his car is forced off the Sunshine Skyway Bridge by an unidentified driver in a dark blue Jaguar. Ronald and Lila Walden’s daughter disappears from her Tampa apartment. Jenny Lane is mysteriously plucked from obscurity for the case of a lifetime when she's hired to get back a stolen drug formula worth billions.

Jenny falls into a disastrous romance with dangerously handsome Blake Denton, the stolen formula owner's nephew and heir. A bewildering maze of betrayal, intrigue, and murder, put Jenny’s license to practice law, her heart, and her very life on the line.

Can Jenny find the stolen cure for a deadly disease, save her career, her lover, and herself before it's too late?

I just love the character, Judge Wilhelmina Carson. She has more education than I. She is richer than I. She is is even younger and taller than I, but the stories about her are exciting and compelling. Great mysteries too.

3.0 out of 5 stars Didn't quite get there.... Oct. 31 2012
By chris' creations - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition
The first chapters started with the intrigue and promise of a great suspense novel, however, it never really got back to that point as the book went on. When you are reading an it is very difficult to get back and check names and dates and that's what I needed to do. It took so long to get back to the crash from the first scenes, I had no idea who caused it. The main character, Jennifer, was a little too unbelievable. No one with all those insecurities whould become a lawyer. The whole thing was too far from reality to totally enjoy. It felt like the story line went way too quickly. I don't think it was written so that you could really bond with the characters. It was a good read for the special price of $1.99 that I got it for my kindle, but I would have been very disappointed if I spent more. My favorite author, Lee Child, has really praised this author, but I'm sorry, the quality of writing is no where near his. I do think she will get there, and maybe some of her other books are already there. I will try another.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not a Jack book Sept. 3 2013

I find in this story Ms. Capri tends to repeat herself a lot and the character Jenny Lane is very wimpy and not very likeable. Lane ponders over and over, the same problem, just in different chapters

3.0 out of 5 stars So disappointed that this is not a Willa Carson book Jan. 9 2014
By Sunny - Published on

Willa Carson was the main reason I loved the first four books in the Justice series. Jenny Lane, in my opinion, is not nearly as interesting or likeable...and I will not buy any more books about her. Please bring Willa back!

3.0 out of 5 stars Not appropriate for the Justice series name Jan. 2 2014
By fillygolf - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition
I was so disappointed to find that Willa Carson had only a "cameo role" in this book. I thoroughly enjoyed the first four books in the Justice series because of Willa, and I purchased the fifth book expecting her to have a major role. I do not find Jenny Lane to be nearly as appealing as Willa and will not purchase any future books with her as the lead character. It was not a terrible book...just a disappointing one.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not my cup of tea Aug. 9 2013
By fritzy - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition
When I ordered this book I mistakenly thought it was a continuation of the Willa justice series. I was very disappointed as I continued to read and found Willa played such a minor character. Jennifer's character did not approach the level of interest I found in the previous justice books. Sorry to say I will not read more of this series now.
