This review is from: Razer Carcharias Hi-Definition PC Gaming Headset (Personal Computers)
This headset has a lot of potential - and I say it has, because it makes use of none of it. Let's start with the basics.Comfortwise this headset is a dream. It has wonderful velvet earmuffs, and it holds sound out fairly well - but what it makes up for comfort it loses everywhere else. As a gaming headset, this thing is a nightmare. The microphone is the big problem here : Want to do recordings? You won't be doing it without terrible static. After searching online for hours I found this issue plagued every headset. Friends in teamspeak complained about it, and when I made videos it just sounded awful compared to my Logitech Headset, (which is four years old, and is busted up to boot - yet still sounds better than this brand new!) I wish I could say I'd try another Razer Headset, but this sacrifices quality for comfort - and while it is a wonderfully nice headset to wear, the terrible, unyeilding static that'll annoy everyone you game with when you open your mouth, and the fact it leaks sound unless you have it on a very, VERY quiet setting (So no, you won't be able to make use of this things max sound - not even half it's max due to the audio leak issue it suffers) but after using paying double for this piece of hardware than I did an old Logitech headset I'll gladly pick up the latter. Sorry Razer, but stick to Mice, because your comfy headsets suck.

Im new to wearing a headset and being my first i found it constraining at first expecially with the cord (i would look into a wireless next time). An issue for me its puts pressure below my ears and its uncomforable and i feel the weight of it after a short time also it dosnt reduse the outside noise every well with the outer earphone being mesh. What i like about it is the volume and on/off mic inline control and the 3.5 conections which could be used with a mp3 player. I havent tested the mic but people seem to hear me well enough.

The circumaural headphones are really confortable; you might forget they were there entirely if high quality sound was not pouring in your ears! I recommend these for long gaming sessions.
