5.0 out of 5 stars Great Mouse Jan. 27 2014

I would recommend this product to the gamers out there. I like that the mouse can be cordless or with a cord. Easy to use and comfortable. Great everyday mouse too.

I had this mouse for quite a while now, loved it, but after 4-6 months the buttons started to double click. I looked it up, this seems to be an issue with all razer nagas not just the SWTOR naga. Razer offered me a regular refurb naga as replacement, which kinda sucked.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great Mouse just uncomfortable Jan. 3 2012
By Kalera - Published on Amazon.com

To be honest I was in love with this mouse its just not fit for my or most hands. The sharp design and hard lines look great but in reality when gaming all this did was irritate the bottom of my palm.

If you want all of the same functionality yet a smother and more ergonomic design go with the sister product the Razer Naga. I am shipping this back and placing the new order today.

I really wish this had worked because honestly I am such a fan of Star Wars:TOR I preordered this the day it came out. I was so excited it took me about a week to really come to terms that it just wasn't going to work.

3.0 out of 5 stars A comparison: Naga Epic or SW Mouse??? Feb. 2 2012
By Zen - Published on Amazon.com

Having both the Naga Epic and the SW Mouse, I have to say the Naga epic is irrefutably better. The ergonomics, and the ability to adjust said ergonomics makes the Naga epic superior. As mentioned in some previous reviews, the sharp edges of the SW mouse feel rather uncomfortable, and the mouse is surprisingly small. As with the naga, buttons 10 through 12 are awkwardly positioned.

With all this in mind, the SW mouse is without a doubt worth the purchase if upgrading from a regular mouse. However already having the Naga epic, I feel this is a downgrade in comfort. Another flaw with the SW mouse is the scroll wheel. As it is slightly lower in the mouse and it feels awkward if using the middle finger to scroll.

From an aesthetics point of view, again the Naga epic takes the cake. The interchangeable colored lights of both of these mice is a wonderful feature. However with many of the colors, the silver [SW Mouse] just does not complement them. However the black [Naga Epic] suits quite well with all of the colors. Seeing as most of my hardware is also black, it is no surprise the preference to the naga remains here. However there is one feature I do like about the SW mouse aesthetically, and that is the changeable faction plates. It's nice to add that extra sense of belonging if playing tor, however the light is a white/yellow which doesn't go well with color changing LEDs.

Both mice are cordless/corded and come with charges/batteries. That being said, response time is always next to 0 when playing corded, and I highly recommend such with both mice.

For me there is no comparison between the two mice, as mentioned earlier, the Naga Epic wins this battle, however the starwars mouse makes a great collectors item and a great upgrade from your average mouse or earlier gaming mice. I would rate this 3.5/5

5.0 out of 5 stars The Way MMOs should be played Dec 22 2011
By Javon L. Reid - Published on Amazon.com

The mouse itself is sweet and seeing how i did not already own a naga or naga epic it was a great upgrade from the standard two button mouse. The 12 thumb buttons are great for MMOs that have lots of skills and hot bars great for your instant casts and "holy crap" skills. It keeps all your most useful skills at the tip of one finger. The contents include everything that you would expect from the naga elite minus the different size side battery covers. I guess its a trade off for the special design. Either way that doesnt bother me much considering I have small hands. The first thing I recommend doing is heading to the razerzone.com site and downloading the latest Synapse 2.0 drivers. This will let you customize the everything from mouse button functions, set up macros, change the wheel LED color and mouse sensitivity and even save your settings to the cloud in case you take it to another pc or tournament.

Also please note: the Synapse 2.0 drivers are needed to get your code for the color crystal which is a black core beam and lime green sort of glow around it.

3.0 out of 5 stars no color crystal May 7 2013
By Todd - Published on Amazon.com

I bought this mouse over the standard razer naga because I play swtor and wanted the green color crystal. It is not mentioned it was a limited time only so if your thinking of buying it for that don't. The mouse is a very good mouse solid and the bottons are comfortable and easy to reach.

3.0 out of 5 stars Awesome mouse, abysmal product support April 17 2013
By cdunning - Published on Amazon.com
Received the mouse as a Christmas gift last year (12/2012). I love it. It fits nicely in my hand (have I large hands), it's styled well, it lights up, etc... I have no qualms with its functionality. The mouse has a wireless mode and a tethered mode, they both work well. When wireless I've never had the battery die on me (sometimes playing for over 4-6 hours). the only issue I've had with the mouse is that the charging/tether cable is braided and started to fray on the mouse end after a few weeks.

So, why did I give this mouse 3 stars? Razer's terrible customer support that's why. I filed a claim with razer support website regarding the frayed cable (It is a product defect).

Here is my initial message to razer support:
Hi Razer support. I have a SWTOR gaming mouse I got as I gift. I have no qualms with this product as far as function goes, it works very nicely. The problem I'm having is with the braided cord that comes with the mouse. Shortly after I got the mouse it began to fray at the mouse end and has just been getting worse ever since. I believe this is a defect in the braided cord and asking for a replacement cord for the mouse. thank you!

Here is Razer's response (in less than 24 hours):
I apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced. To help me narrow down the cause of the issue, I would like to ask some questions, as well as provide some basic troubleshooting steps along the way. If that is alright with you, could you kindly answer these questions for me:
- Is the mouse plug into a desktop computer or a laptop?
- Is the mouse connected to a USB 2.0 port? If the mouse is connected to a USB hub, please connect the device to a USB port on your computer.
- Have you tried using the mouse on a different computer? This is to determine if the issue persist over a different computer system.
- Try updating the firmware of the mouse. To do that:

1. Download the firmware updater for the mouse and its dock. You can download the firmware updaters here: [...]

2. After installing the firmware updaters, manually launch the Firmware update program.
Please go to Start > All Programs > Razer > Razer Mouse > Firmware updater

3. Before clicking "Next", un-plug the mouse and hold down the Left click, Right click and Scroll buttons at the same time.

4. Now reconnect the mouse to the computer and after 5 seconds release the three buttons. Windows should detect a new USB device and the update should proceed.

I hope I have provided a solution to your issue. If you have any further enquiries, please let me know and I will be happy to assist you. Thank you for supporting Razer!

WTF is this? Awesome. This DOES NOT ADDRESS MY ISSUE AT ALL. I would be a little more understanding if the support "person" (AKA automated response) would have actually addressed my issue and directed me to the appropriate person/site.

Don't get me wrong I LOVE the mouse, but just be warned Razer's product support seems less than adequate.

I'll update if I get another response from them (I filed another ticket)
