A delightful storybook about summer fun. July 11 2008
By Midwest Book Review - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
Theodor Seuss Geisel Beginning Reader award-winning author Laura McGee Kvasnosky presents Really Truly Bingo, a children's picturebook about a young girl's friendship with Bingo the talking dog. Making the most of summer, they run and jump through a water sprinkler spray, slide in the mud, and craft a daisy chain. The girl's mother is not amused by the muddy mess, but on Bingo's advice the girl offers the daisy chain as a gift, saving the day! A delightful storybook about summer fun.
The kids love this book March 6 2011
By Tim Schmidt - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
This is really a nice story about a little girl who invents an imaginary friend - Bingo the talking dog. It's all good until Bingo suggests they do something they're not supposed to. While mom is distracted with her sewing, Bea and Bingo have lunch, run through the sprinkler, make a fort, and in the process make a big mess. But Mom's not too sore.

While we literally have hundreds of picture books at home, this was a favorite of both my girls from ages 2 to 5. They liked the beautiful pictures and the idea of a talking dog that they could play with. Both wanted a dog so I think they could empathize with Bea. For whatever reason, the girls loved it and wanted me to read it to them nightly for months. The best part, however, is that it is such a delightful book, I did not mind.
