3.0 out of 5 stars Reckless, Mar 13 2009
By V. S. Engstrom - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Reckless (Paperback)
This book is about a man (Chase) hired to protect an art exhibit from an art thief. During his investigation he meets the daughter (Delia) of the art forger that the would be thief tries to blackmail into painting a forgery. This book was an okay read, but Delia frustrated me beyond belief several times. She was stubborn to the point of being irrational and dangerous, she would not listen to reason and forced herself and Chase into bad situations because of it several times. A few times in particular I wanted someone to slap her upside the head. Chase was EXTREMELY tolerant, which got old after awhile. He just resigned himself to letting Delia run the show, while he ran around saving her from her idiotic choices because he had no other choice. I gave this book 3 stars. It was interesting in parts, slow in others but it involved a different twist due to the storyline taking place in Paris, the heroine being a struggling artist instead of a rich aristocrat.
