The Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare Collection is a collection of three downloadable content (DLC) releases for the open world third-party shooter, Red Dead Redemption on a single Xbox 360 disc. A stand-alone release, meaning that the original Red Dead Redemption game is not necessary for play, the three DLC bundled here include: the Undead Nightmare Pack, the Liars and Cheats Pack and the Legends and Killers Pack. Together these three contain a new single player adventure featuring John Marston in a zombie-stomping storyline, hours of new gameplay, new multiplayer maps and play modes, new characters, mounts, hunting opportunities and weapons.

As with many console based action-oriented games, the playing experience of Rockstar Games' popular, American Wild West based, third-person shooter, Red Dead Redemption, has been supplemented by several downloadable content packs since its mid-2010 release. Players on the Xbox 360 platform that are connected online have been able to partake of these via Xbox LIVE. Now offline players can do the same with the Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare Collection.
The collection consists of three of the five available DLC packs on a single disc - these include the Undead Nightmare Pack, the Liars and Cheats Pack and the Legends and Killers Pack. In addition to adding playable content for owners of the original game, the collection serves as a standalone game release, that allows players who have not purchased the original game to experience the gameworld of Red Dead Redemption for the first time on disc via the new zombie-themed single player adventure built into the Undead Nightmare pack, as well as multiplayer functionality. The other two packs add new weapons, characters, multiplayer options, ridable mounts and more to either the existing game or a standalone play experience built around the content of the Undead Nightmare pack.

Once again, Rockstar Games has proven that taking well-thought out risks can really pay off. The Undead Nightmare Collection is easily one of the best game add-ons that exists on the market today. The disc contains the RDR DLC Undead Nightmare, the Liars and Cheats pack, and the Legends and Killers pack.At the end of Red Dead, gameplay switches from John Marston to Jack, his son (who after an hour of gameplay becomes one of the most annoying characters in a game). Undead Nightmare reverses that, putting you back in the saddle as John again, which is a thoroughly appreciated action. You come home one night to your family, to find that Uncle has changed into a flesh eating monster. After a scuffle, your wife and son are bitten and change into the very same monstrosities. To keep them safe, you hogtie them and lock them inside until you can find some sort of cure. Gameplay is basically the same as the original game, which isn't overly complicated. All three combined packages give you about 5-6 new weapons, such as the Explosive Rifle, Blunderbuss, Holy Water, Tomahawk, Undead Bait, and many more. However DeadEye will become your most useful weapon, making it very easy to pick off undead that see you. An added touch to make the game more realistic is the severely reduced amount of ammo in the game, which forces the player to fire carefully instead of spraying wildly. Bullets can be looted of dead zombies that are wearing bullet belts or holsters, but you only get about 1-3 bullets a body. The famous ambience from the original game takes a horror twist, with the towns that you save being bright and sunny, while the grounds that connect them are barren, dark, and swamped with fog. This makes the zombies that you may ride past all the more scary than they already are. The zombies themselves are by far the scariest ones i've seen in a game. Their movement is one of a true zombie (none of that left4dead olympic 100m dash running crap) and can trick the untrained eye in the wilderness. The zombies themselves come in four kinds, which is similar to the original left4dead. Your standard zombies, ones that crawl very fast across the ground, ones that are very hefty and will charge and knock you over, and ones that spit acid snot. Alongside all the zombies, the various kinds of animals that populated the wilderness have become zombified as well, except for a few horses. Yes, there's even zombie bears and cougars. Now THAT'S scary! (Note: There are both undead an living horses in equal supply). The thing about the zombie horses is that while they don't attack you, and you can still ride them, they ARE undead, which means they don't like you. One bit. They'll intermittently buck you off, ride wherever they please, or steer you into packs of Undead, so I'd recommend keeping your horse alive. A interesting addition was the inclusion of "Mythical Creatures" into the game. These take the shape of a chupacabra, sasquatches, a unicorn (which literally takes 20 minutes to break in), and the legendary Four Horses of the Apocalypse. For the horses, when you're traveling through the wilderness, the sentence "A Mythical Creature Is Nearby" will show up at the bottom of the screen. Stay in the area and look around for a horse, and you should find it easily. Catching and breaking them is another story. The collection also adds quite a few new game modes, like poker, liar's dice, and Undead Survival. All In all, The Undead Nightmare Collection is a must own, otherwise Red Dead just won't feel complete without it. A must own! ***** out of *****!!

It is a great game, very well thought out and constructed. However, I am quite new at gaming so it is a bit difficult for me. But I will learn :)
