Okay, I don't fit the male stereotype; I like both eye candy and mind candy.
In the first of the three stories here, Written Word, a female law professor has designs on a male student. A bit too much mind candy.
In the second, Borders of Salt, a man and a woman meet on a train. The conversation and the action that follows make it my favorite of these three.
The third, Girl on a Bike, takes place in Paris. Almost enough said. The words "sweetly romantic" are not in my usual vocabulary but they fit much of this story. So do the words "a terrific contest of wills." For me a sour note comes at the end when "bad" (a woman valuing and pursuing her own happiness) is punished and "good" (a woman agreeing to fit herself into traditional expectations) would have been rewarded. Stop the video when she leaves the room and you will be spared this scene.

This particular volume is the perfect late-night snuggling-on-the-couch-with-your-better-half fare. Or, if you prefer, watch it alone. I was profoundly affected by the interaction between the star-crossed lovers in the 'Girl on a Bike' segment. And nobody on Planet Earth broods quite like the dishy David Duchovny. I'd rent it again.

The middle episode makes this one outstanding. I have never seen such a perfect balance of between the romantic and the erotic. It is a work of genius. The other two episodes are OK, but it is the middle one that I have now repeated about five times.
