4.0 out of 5 stars SOUTHEAST CHINA SEA PIRATES, Aug 26 2007
By Kay's Husband - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Red vengeance (Paperback)

This book's cover boldly states "blood and rage run cold and red", well the book is a little more tame than that, but still it has its normal amount of SOBs action. That is one reason I enjoy these SOBs a little more than the Mack Bolan, Able Team, and Phoenix Force books. While all are enjoyable, the SOBs have always been my favorite.

In this entry of the 38 book series, the Red Vengeance is a pirate group which has existed for hundreds of years, with tradition for raiding, raping, and killing in the Gulf of Thailand and southeast into the China Sea. "For centuries a Chinese secret society has terrorized Southeast Asia". No ship at sea is safe from these ruthless and barbaric raiders as they respect no law other than their own. Captured boats are sunk, men and children are slaughtered, with most attractive women taken into bondage and slavery.

Into this area comes the Soldiers of Barrabas team seeking to put these pirates out of business. But the first two meetings find the Red Vengeance triumphant over the SOBs. But as we know before we begin a book in this series, the SOBs will eventually win out.

Some of the secret rites of these China Sea pirates are gross to the point of disgusting, but overall the book is a good read. Not for the squemish, however, and a warning to the wise should be sufficient!

Semper Fi.
