Book Description

September 2003
Albert Murdock risks losing his sanity as he questions the limitations of a 3-dimensional universe. His passion becomes the driving force to uncover the truth about his deceased parents. Eventually, his emotional turmoil begins to distort his reason, and he finds himself reliving experiences from another time. He journeys from one state of mind into the next as he seeks answers through the constant people and places in his life. This persistent search for rationality leads Albert to his grandfather, who attempts to curtail Albert’s anxiety. Gramps explains that Albert’s father had begun a government-funded program to research time travel, and he suggests they review the data to find some answers. Unfortunately, when reworking the experiment, Gramps and his partner Shultz disappear. Ultimately, Albert is left to ponder this mystery “...in an effort to unveil the space and time of which [he lives].”

Relative is a great book about the intertwining lives of gramps, Alex and Albert. The book is very descriptive and takes the reader through interesting twists and turns of how each character is connected by what they do and what they say. The author has investigated the impact of how fate and scientific exploration can change a life in a split second. As a reader, you can feel yourself thinking and understanding many thought processes as Albert did. The book leaves the reader to decide if Albert is mentally crazy or in a warped reality! Can't wait for the sequel.
