well,it's fast paced,i'll give it that.the premise probably isn't that original,but the way the killer selects his targets could be.there is one difference in this movie from most others.very quickly into the movie,the killer is revealed to the audience.you would think letting the audience in on the identity of the killer right away would have a negative impact on the movie,but i don't think it does.anyway,the rest of the movie revolves around the police trying figure out his identity and stop him.we are given a bit of background into why he became a killer,and i think it seems plausible.Judd Nelson portrays the killer,and i found him convincing.the film has some humour in it as well,which i liked.i did find the ending pretty predictable,but i think they telegraph it pretty deliberately so it's not really much of a surprise.overall,its a pretty decent movie.not outstanding,but worth the 90 minutes or so.i think "Relentless"is a 3.5/5

I watched this movie thinking it was just going to be another slasher flick. Boy, was I wrong. All of the actors are first rate, especially Nelson as the demented killer. Buy this movie now! Note: This film is not for the squeamish!

Though not one of my favorites, Judd Nelson gives his best performance in Relentless,playing a serial killer. Director William Lustig has made several films about maniacs,but Relentless is one of his best. With a supporting cast including Leo Rossi and Robert Loggia, Relentless is superior to many of the mad slasher movies of its genre.
