When I started watching this series, I found I did not remember all of the episodes, andit took a while to get into them again.. Definitely get Season 1, but do go on from there, they get better and better. I bought them for nostalgia, but in the end couldn't stop watching.

This is the best quality video I have ever seen on a DVD. It is flawless. The series has a good look and a good feel to it, with some good-humored interaction between characters. It's a gently paced detective show, but entertaining both visually and in the dialog.
I am very pleased with the purchase.

Watching the series brings back memories of my youth. Unlike McMillan & Wife, this series stands the test of time & (except for the fashions) is as good today as it was when first broadcast. It is easy to see why they wanted Pierce Brosnan for James Bond.

A perfect blend of mystery, romance & humor in this classic 80s detective series.
Laura Holt(Stephanie Zimbalist) is a kind of female Sherlock Holmes. But in the early 80s not many people liked the idea of highering a female detective.
So when the story begins we find out that she has made up a fictional male boss that no one has seen to take the credit, a boss by the name of Remington Steele. Who has become a world renown famous detective for the large number of cases some near uncrackable that Laura has solved in his name.
Enter Pierce Brosnan, he arrives has a foreign government agent. Laura is smittened with him. But he is actually a con-artist obsessed with Hollywood movies. He's in town Looking to get close & steel some priceless jewels that the great Remington Steele agency has been highered to protect.
Hearing that Mr Steele is outta town he then assumes his identity.
Has the story is weaved Laura becomes aware of his charade. Just has he has become aware that there is actually no Remington Steele.
With their mutual attraction towards one another, Laura sees an advantage to him masquerading has Mr Steele. She invites him to stay & a legend is born.
This show is fun to watch. And at such a great price you can't go wrong. Each season comes with special features, on this season there's commentary on selected episodes, making of featurette, & character profiles.

This became one of my favorite shows!!!! I bought the show based on the fact that Pierce starred in this show. I wasn't expecting much but I became hooked right from the first minute. I was sooo hooked that right after watching the first episode I quickly ordered the remaining seasons!!! Each and every show keeps on getting better!!! I just wished that there were more seasons than just 5!! Great action, mystery and comedy!! What more could you ask for???

I'm on an 80's kick and this was one of my favorites. Remington Steele was the perfect product to showcase Pierce Brosnan for 007.
