The Black Eyed Peas are not exactly the kind of group
that I listen to. Their over the top brand of Hip-Pop
has never interested me in the slightest. This is
the first project from the Peas that I've listened
to. Period.
The most fascinating , but equally disappointing aspect
of this Ep is that Peas' front man , and producer ,
Wil I am , delivers the most memorable moment on this
disc. "Like That" , from what I understand , already
appears on the Peas' current album "Monkey Business."
So if you already own that album , then you need not
purchase this Ep.
In the final assessment , Renegotiations is cleary
Wil I am's way of paying homage to Hip Hop pro-
duction greats such as Large Professor , Pete Rock
and DJ Premier. The problem is , when he was busy
selecting beats from this legendary trio , he fail-
ed to pick any that accurately reflected their
brilliance.
