This is an excellent book to learn AutoCAD if you are an Architect, Designer or involved in the construction industry. The book takes you step by step in learning AutoCAD through the use of a Residential Project. The Focus of the book is to learn the parts of the software you need to know to create, plans elevations, sections, building details etc.

I am an Architect and AutoCAD instructor and I am using this in an Adult ed course teaching professionals in the industry. The book will be use extensively for the students to practice during class time. The book is also full of explanations so you can read through it on your own and learn from it equally well.

One thing I really like about the book is it does not spoon feed the student through an entire tutorial. It teaches how to do something once or twice, then asks the student to complete the tutorial on their own. This improves learning retention.
