This album, actually recorded in the early eighties, is amazing. Leon put out a live album with the new grass revival twenty years ago, and it has long been one of my favorites! Now, I can hear what the studio versions of those songs sound like, as the live album is still out of print. Leon is doing the right thing by going it alone in the record industry. No record company would put out FOUR new albums by one artist in a year's time. Leon pulls it off, though. Hank Wilson 4 is essential listening for all Leon fanatics.....and Leon, thanks for the great performance in Moscow in August! It was one of the best shows I've seen!
