HASH(0xa3f02b70) out of 5 stars Sub-par Irish Enthusiasm Dec 16 2005

I gave it a chance but Rhythm of the Dance turned out to be nothing more than another "...of the Dance" clone. The production looks like it was put on by high school or college students without any real direction or sense of what really entertains an audience. There's an underlying bit of potential but it's never harnessed in this show. Talent in the show? Yes, but it's like having a '59 Corvette that never leaves the garage. By the time the credits roll, you're left wanting more.

HASH(0xa3dc6a74) out of 5 stars Okay but I've seen better Oct. 21 2010

This show was okay, it wasn't bad but it wasn't spectacular. It's okay for one watch at least, but don't expect the same caliber of Riverdance or Lord of the Dance. I think it was probably the "budget" look and the lighting but what really irked me was this: when I go to see an irish dance show, I go to see the dancers, NOT the musicians. To me, they showed too much of the musicians during the dance routines. The dancers would be dancing and the camera would show close ups of the musicians while you're missing out on the dancing action. They had some numbers that focused on the musicians only so I didn't see the need to show them profusely throughout the dancing numbers. All in all it was ok but not the best I've ever seen. I would say 2 out of 5.
