Complex characters in a multi-layered story,

When Juliet Jones sits on the rotting balcony of her family store one day wishing for Richard Gere to drive up in his car and whisk her away, she finds herself face-to-face with her fantasy--in the form of Harrison Rivers, son of one of the area's wealthiest families. Juliet knows Harrison's a one-shot deal, but she doesn't count on him showing up two years later, ready to claim 'his heir!' I absolutely loved this book--the characters were wonderfully complex, giving the reader a multi-layered story rarely found in a shorter book.
