Who says you have to be dead to be celebrated as a genius? Hosted by Richard Pryor himself, through clips of in-concert performances, recordings, and diary excerpts, the comedy special features the greatest line-up of comedy talent ever seen on a non-Awards show.

Take a look back at the best moments of Richard Pryor's career as comedians like Dave Chappelle, Denis Leary, D.L. Hughley and Whoopi Goldberg revel in the stand-up routines that cemented Richard Pryor as one of the craziest, most brilliant #*%$#@ers to ever hold a mic.

1.0 out of 5 stars What a rip off., Aug 21 2005

This review is from: Richard Pryor - I Ain't Dead Yet, #*%$#@!! (Uncensored) (DVD)
My husband and I just finished watching this and to say we were disappointed would be an understatement. We were under the impression that we would be watching Richard Pryor doing his amazing standup and what we got were small clips of him interspersed with comedians putting their two bits in, copying him, and all this other garbage. I don't even understand how this was supposed to be entertaining in any way - it was quite simply totally annoying and pointless. We fast forwarded through most of it that didn't involve Richard. Don't buy this.

1.0 out of 5 stars Dont Buy This, Dec 5 2005

This review is from: Richard Pryor - I Ain't Dead Yet, #*%$#@!! (Uncensored) (DVD)
The entire movie is devoted to various people talking about how much they like Richard Pryor. Nothing against any of the comedians on there, but most of the time they're not even really saying anything interesting about him. They show a clip from Pryor's standup and then it proceeds to show you about 10 different people saying how funny it was or whatever. there is probably only like 2 minutes of pryor's standup on there.
