Back in July 1992, I went to the Montreux Jazz Festival for the first time in my life. Although there were a lot of other acts in those three weeks, I decided I wanted to see RINGO! It was actually 3 concerts in the Casino this evening (for which you had to pay only 55 Swiss Francs!), the first was Joan Armatrading (8.00 to 9.30 p.m.), the second Ringo (10.00 to 12.00 p.m.), the 3rd Sophie B. Hawkins (0.30 to 2.00 a.m.) Ringo and his band did an amazing show, he was at his best, very humorous ("I'm sure you all recognized me as an old Jazz Player") and friendly with the audience. I remember the hall lightened in shiny yellow during the refrain of Yellow Submarine, and Ringo shaking hands with some people during his last song Photograph. Also his accompanying band was very good. Strangely this video (and the CD) was released in the USA only though the concert took place in Switzerland. Greetings from Austria to all Ringo fans out there! "Peace and Love"! Thomas Huemer P.S. If you want to write me, my email is: thomas.huemer@cable.vol.at
