This pot worked fine. Cheap construction. Worry about the quality/toxicity of the non-stick coating. Plastic forkholder ring was warped/ bent out of shape (from the heat) after the very first time we used the pot. Probably should not be surprised given the low price: one gets what one pays for.

I bought this fondue pot from Sears about 6 years ago, and just love it! I don't use it as a fondue pot but as a deep fryer for Indian frying (puris, pakoras, kachoris etc.). I never fry in a karai on the stove (just let's say too dangerous for me). I will be buying this pot again (glad to see it at good price on Amazon), as I dropped my original one and one of the handles broke! While it works just fine, I would rather have a new one.
Highly recommend it for deep-frying, and I am sure it works just as well for fondues.
